Tool Time!

VJed last night for SoftCorps at Club Tool in Hongdae. Nice set up there although the screens were a bit small for the VJing. They were nice and clear and added to the show I think. I debuted some new animations for the songs. I had talked to Marko from SoftCorps about the theme of each song and I made some new animations and changed some others around a bit. Some of the new ones were reactive to the music and I think they worked really well. I want to make some more like that with more interactivity.

I want to wish the guys well for the huge New Years Eve show with Carl Cox. Looking forward to VJing with them when I get back from South America

What was the question?

VJed at Club Answer in Apgujong last night. A really flash area of Seoul where all the rich people live and hang out. It was a really nice club with heaps of lights and lasers and a huge mirror ball. The VJ set up was really great. I had my own balcony overlooking the dance floor. There were two big projectors, one for the stage and one projecting above me. There were also four big LCD screens in front of the stage.

After the show we hung out in a glassed in VIP area. It was so different from the dive bars in Hongdae that I VJed in before. While all the stuff was much better I liked the atmosphere in the little places much better. Less pretentious and more fun. Saying all that I will VJ at Club Answer again in a second. Check out the pictures. Not bad for my 3rd VJ gig in Seoul.

Animanima

I received a catalogue from the Serbian animation festival that I got into. My film is on page 104.

"Animated Saturday"

"The opening programme for Saturday, the last day of the festival, is a display of mostly European films. Due to a wide range of topics and different animation techniques, Animated Saturday is a pleasant mixture for any true lover of animated film."

Rokon!!!! again

Got my photo in Rokon Magazine again here in Seoul. It was for Vadim's CD launch party that I VJed at. No mention of me in the text although they mention pretty much everyone else. Might be VJing again for him later this month.

I added a handy arrow about my head so you can see me.

Famous! Sort of ....

Softcorps got a feature in Rokon Magazine, an indie music magazine here in Seoul.

Some nice photos from the gig at Club Cargo. Although none of them feature my VJing. The one on the right of Marko has a little bit of one of my animations.

Below is where I am mentioned in the article. Also a picture of Eunah dancing with me drinking a beer infront.

My Major film, "The Urban Migration" got into Animania 07, a Serbian Animation festival. I am really pleased that I persevered since the first post office I went to here in Korea wouldn't accept my package to Serbia, I had to go to a larger one and they sent it fine. Apparently my film is in the "special additional programme called ANIMATED SATHURDAY"

I won last weeks Animation Club! challenge with this film. Reimagining the old computer game "Pirates!" as set in Australia.

Check out the Animation Club! MySpace here.

And yeah I spelled "Captain" wrong. But spelling mistakes is what Animation Club! is all about, spelling mistakes, beer and dumplings.
